Adidas Shootout is an interactive gaming app developed for the LA Kings, in collaboration with Adidas, aimed at amplifying fan engagement through interactive gameplay. The objective was to design an app that not only entertains but also seamlessly integrates Adidas’ sponsorship, offering a unique platform for fans to connect with the LA Kings brand. The app targets a diverse fan base, with a focus on delivering an immersive and interactive user experience.
Design and Execution
The design process began with extensive user research, leading to the creation of intuitive wireframes and dynamic prototypes. The app features a core interactive game, virtual challenges, and real-time competitive play, all woven into the LA Kings narrative. A key achievement was the subtle incorporation of Adidas products and promotions, ensuring a non-intrusive yet effective brand presence. Tools like Photoshop and Figma were instrumental in crafting the user interface, with Firebase supporting real-time engagement analytics.
The launch of Adidas Shootout achieved a steady increase in user engagement, meeting the expectations of both the LA Kings and Adidas. The app was commended for its engaging features and the subtle integration of sponsor content, which did not overpower the user experience. This project demonstrated the importance of aligning user interests with commercial objectives, providing valuable insights for future developments in sports-related app design.​​​​​​​
