As Lead Designer, I partnered with the LA Rams to design a predictive gaming app that engaged fans before and during games. The platform let users make real-time predictions, earn achievements, and unlock rewards.
Pitching and prototyping under pressure
In response to the LA Rams’ RFP for a predictive gaming app, our team set out to create a cross-platform solution that would boost fan engagement through gamification. I was responsible for developing high-fidelity mockups to support our proposal—and later collaborating with developers to bring the design to life. With a tight turnaround and no existing template, I built a concept from the ground up that combined intuitive gameplay with bold, on-brand visuals. Our challenge: stand out in a saturated market by delivering innovative features and a fan-first experience.
Designing for impact, not just aesthetics
I led with a strategy-driven approach—balancing efficiency, creativity, and attention to detail. I started with competitive research and feature analysis, followed by wireframes grounded in user needs. To set our app apart, I focused on improving known UX pain points in similar products. I also introduced a ranking and achievement system to drive retention and keep users coming back.
Translating brand into functional UI
Using the LA Rams’ brand assets, I created a detailed UI style guide that included custom iconography, textures, button styles, and component specs for both web and mobile. The high-fidelity mockups doubled as both a client-facing pitch tool and a practical blueprint for developers. By blending bold visuals with functional design, the final UI laid a strong foundation for the app’s next phase
